John grew up near London where he worked in the business world for five years before moving to Los Angeles and deciding to become a pastor. After attending seminary, John moved to San Diego where he planted Ember Church.
VOLUNTEER & SERVE
We are a congregation of believers committed to sharing the message of Christ and guiding others towards faith in Him. As a church, we aim to love those in our community with the same love Christ has given to us. The work of our church is aimed at directing others towards the Savior in the hopes that they will encounter the one true God and be transformed by His gracious love for them. Through all we do, say, and preach, we pray that we will shine the light of Christ to all those we encounter.
BIG CHURCH, SMALL COMMUNITY
We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.
THE WORD OF GOD AND THE GRACE OF CHRIST IN THE PROMISES ARE OUR DAILY SUPPORT, AND THE CONSTANT NOURISHMENT OF OUR SOULS.
